Art transforms the spaces we live; work and play in such a special way and I believe life could be a little

boring without it. I am fascinated about it and love to create it. I find it interesting to observe how much art generates different feelings in different people and how it has being communicating and inspiring us since the caveman decided to create it in the rock walls.

My work is about color and texture, contrasts, relationships and blends. Color for me is pure feeling. It affects our moods, influences our emotions, transforms spaces and shapes our world. My work can be defined as Abstract Expressionism. This is a movement that came out of the 1940’s New York School of Painting. This is not an actual school, but a group of New York painters including Adolph Gottlieb, Williem DeKooning, Robert Motherwell and Hans Hofmann, among others.

Painting for me is such a satisfying process of discovery. The key is no hurry, combinations of colors and a good sense of humor.  It is such a fan journey, it’s addicting in a good way. The final destination is just a bonus.

Being from Brazil, where people with almost nothing or so little are happy and celebrate Carnaval on the streets every year, makes me appreciate the little things more. All the love for life and warmth from the people in my country can be felt in my work, because that’s part of whom I am. So I can say my inspiration comes from nature, my family and everyday life, but mostly from the simply blessing of being alive. I fell very lucky to have my passion become my career, and want to Thank every single person who have direct or indirectly helped for my dream to come true.

My goal as an artist is to make a lasting impression on everyone who comes into contact with my work. I want people to be touched, intrigued and connected with what they see.
