Art transforms the spaces we live, work and play in such a special way and I believe life would be less exciting without it. I am fascinated about it and love to create it. I find it interesting to observe how much art has being communicating and inspiring us since the caveman decided to create it in the rock walls.
My work is about texture and color, contrasts, relationships and blends. Color for me is pure feeling. It affects our moods, influences our emotions and transforms the spaces we live in.
Painting is such a satisfying process of discovery. The key is combinations of colors, no hurry and some sense of humor. When starting a painting I just let the canvas talk to me. I open myself to the creative energy of the universe and the work just flows. It is such a fan journey, it’s addicting in a good way. The final destination is just a bonus.
Being from Brazil, where people with almost nothing or so little are happy and celebrate Carnaval on the streets every year, makes me appreciate the little things more. All the love for life and warmth from the people in my country can be felt in my work, because that’s part of whom I am. So I can say my inspiration comes from nature, my family and everyday life, but mostly from the simply blessing of being alive. I feel very lucky to have had my passion become my career, and want to Thank every single person who have direct or indirectly helped for my dream to come true.
In a time where information is everywhere, instantly and different cultures are colliding as never before, my goal as an artist is to make a lasting impression on everyone who comes into contact with my work. I want people to be touched, intrigued and connected with what they see.
